The US State Department has approved $3.73 billion in potential FMS to Denmark for an IBCS-IFPC air and missile defense architecture and 200 AIM-120C-8 AMRAAMs. Denmark’s request includes IFPC launchers, Sentinel A4 radars, IBCS engagement centers, network relays, and full program support. The AMRAAM package enhances air-to-air readiness and NATO interoperability. The acquisition will make Denmark the second European operator of IBCS-IFPC, a system integrating sensors and interceptors into a single, unified battle-management network capable of defeating drones, cruise missiles, and medium-range threats.
