The US Army has awarded Lockheed Martin an $8.4-billion contract modification to expand production of the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) Increment 1 program. The adjustment raises the overall contract value to approximately $13.33 billion and extends procurement activities through 2032. The agreement covers production expansion, early operational capability assets, continued development, and obsolescence management. Designed as the successor to the ATACMS missile, PrSM provides long-range precision strike capabilities from HIMARS and MLRS launchers. The program is expected to significantly enhance the Army’s ability to engage high-value targets at extended ranges.
