Lockheed Martin’s Next Generation Command and Control prototype underwent operational testing during Balikatan 2026, where US and Philippine forces evaluated distributed battlefield coordination across air, land, and fires operations. The system integrated sensor feeds, airspace management, and strike coordination into a unified operational picture spanning the Philippines, Hawaii, and the US mainland. During a live-fire counter-landing exercise, the platform linked Apache helicopters, artillery, mortars, and HIMARS systems in near real-time while simultaneously generating battle damage assessments. The demonstration highlighted efforts to accelerate decision-making and improve interoperability in Indo-Pacific operations.
