India’s VL-SRSAM naval missile system is nearing induction after successful trials. With improved range up to 80 km and high-speed interception capability, it is designed to counter fast, low-flying aerial threats. Its vertical launch system allows quick response from any direction without mechanical aiming. The system will form a key part of layered naval defence, protecting future warships from coordinated missile and drone attacks in modern maritime warfare.
