Poland’s defense industry is expanding its precision-strike manufacturing capability through a new partnership between PGZ and American defense technology company Anduril. The agreement establishes local production of the Barracuda-500M surface-launched cruise missile, supporting gradual localization of manufacturing and supply chain development across Europe. Designed for affordability and high production rates, the missile is capable of engaging both maritime and land targets at ranges exceeding 900 kilometers while carrying a precision-guided conventional payload. The programme supports NATO’s objective of strengthening European defense production while enabling Poland to become a regional manufacturing hub for autonomous long-range strike systems. Large-scale production will also enhance strategic stockpiles and improve alliance readiness.
