France is preparing to restart production of its Naval Cruise Missile (Scalp Naval) to strengthen long-range strike capabilities. Production had previously ceased in 2021 after initial orders were fulfilled, leaving limited stockpiles. The missile, deployed on submarines and frigates, offers a range of up to 1,000 kilometers and is designed for precision strikes against hardened land targets. Equipped with advanced navigation systems and an infrared seeker, it delivers high accuracy in the final phase. The decision reflects evolving security challenges and the need for sustained munitions readiness.
