The US Navy has completed the first phase of testing to integrate the AGM-158C Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) with the F-35C Lightning II. The completed flight sciences campaign evaluated aircraft handling and performance while carrying the missile externally. Future testing will include weapon separation trials, guided engagements, and live-fire demonstrations. Once integrated, the LRASM will provide the F-35C with a long-range maritime strike capability, enhancing the Navy’s ability to engage high-value naval targets in heavily defended environments.
