Israel has signed a $183-million multi-year agreement with Elbit Systems to supply domestically produced air munitions, reinforcing both operational readiness and national defense manufacturing capacity. Issued by the Ministry of Defense’s Defense Procurement Directorate, the contract is designed to replenish munitions stockpiles while expanding local production capabilities. Officials highlighted the deal as both a strategic security measure and an economic investment, aimed at ensuring supply chain resilience and reducing dependence on foreign suppliers. The agreement forms part of a broader set of multi-domain procurement efforts intended to sustain long-term force development during a challenging security environment, while also supporting future export potential for Israel’s defense industry.
