has delivered its 1,000th APG-83 SABR radar, marking a major milestone in the modernization of legacy fighter aircraft such as the F-16. The Scalable Agile Beam Radar enhances aircraft with advanced targeting, terrain mapping, moving target tracking, and electronic warfare awareness comparable to newer-generation combat jets. Built with modular architecture and US-made microelectronics, the radar can be upgraded through software without requiring major hardware changes, helping operators maintain relevance against evolving threats. Demand for the SABR radar continues to rise as countries extend the service life of fourth-generation fighters. The US Air Force has integrated the radar into F-16V upgrades, while Taiwan and Singapore are also advancing modernization programs using SABR-equipped aircraft with improved avionics and sensing capabilities.
