Britain is modernizing its long-range strike capability by joining the Precision Strike Missile program alongside the United States and Australia. The acquisition introduces an advanced surface-to-surface missile capable of engaging distant targets with exceptional precision while operating from upgraded M270 rocket launchers already entering British service. Scheduled deliveries will significantly enhance the Army’s ability to conduct deep-strike operations and support future multi-domain warfare concepts. Rather than replacing existing missile programs, the PrSM will complement Britain’s broader portfolio of long-range weapons under development with Germany, France, and Italy. The investment also strengthens the AUKUS partnership, demonstrating the UK’s commitment to advanced defense technologies and closer cooperation with key allies in future military operations.
